Nigel Dalby Profile

Nigel Dalby trained at Kingston University School of Architecture, qualified in 1982 & joined the RIBA in 1983. NDA was formed in July 1987 and our reputation is based on design innovation and skills developed to realise planning permissions on complex or difficult sites. In addition we have considerable experience in designing and detailing imaginative additions & sensitive alterations to both historic and modern buildings as well as providing contemporary design solutions for new building works.  We have been shortlisted in national competition and in 2004 received The Commercial Award from The Sussex Heritage Trust.

Our service is tailored to suit each clients requirements and can be simply a consultation or partial services or we can coordinate a scheme from preliminary sketches right through to project completion. We act for our clients as agents to obtain necessary statutory/legal consents including Planning, Listed Building & Conservation Area, Building & Environmental Approvals, Planning Appeals, and Party Wall Awards. We have close associations with various related professionals in other disciplines so that we can simply network any additional services as required. We work almost entirely on a digital format using ArchiCAD 9.0 for drawing and image technology. The use of 3D modelling enables our clients & colleagues to very quickly interpret and help inform our ideas as the scheme is progressed and in this way we can work very quickly and interactively to achieve the project requirements.
